About Iona Productions
Hostess Iona of New Orleans began event hosting in 2010 under Iona Productions, a former LLC, and continues to host events for the dance community. As a producer, Iona promotes community education with bellydance workshops by nationally and internationally recognized star performer-instructors, including dance legends Ahmed Hussien, Alexandra King, Amar Gamal, Amaya, Nourhan Sharif, Raqia Hassan, and Tamalyn Dallal. She promotes performance professionalism with showcases featuring the guest artists and regional dancers, including the "Shimmy Showcases," "The Belly Gras Ball," and "Harem Follies." As a dance teacher, Iona treasures fostering education while promoting the art and appreciation of belly dance.
