About Iona Productions
Belly dancer Iona of New Orleans, LA began event hosting in 2010 under Iona Productions, LLC. The LLC is no longer active, but Iona continues to host annually for the dance community. As a producer, Iona promotes community education with belly dance workshops by internationally recognized star performers and instructors, including dance legends Ahmed Hussien, Alexandra King, Amar Gamal, Amaya, Nourhan Sharif, Raqia Hassan, and Tamalyn Dallal. She promotes performance professionalism with showcases featuring the guest artists and regional dancers, including the "Shimmy Showcases," "The Belly Gras Ball," and "Harem Follies." As a dance teacher, Iona treasures fostering education while promoting the art and appreciation of belly dance.
